No. The only mobile phone i know of that runs Linux is the Qtopia Greenphone from Trolltech.

Hello ,
There are lots of linux based mobile phones. If you want to run linux on a S40/S60 mobile, you should know the hardware details of those mobile phones (which is not possible). Moreover user's cannot flash their mobile phones, except for Greenphone and another phone coming up next year (Neo1973).

FWIW, you *can* flash an S40 (and probably most other cellphones as well), if you know where to look for the right flash software. People do it all the time in hopes that the new firmare will have less bugs/more features...
Nevertheless, to actually write your own firmare for a cellphone without knowing all the details of it's hardware is pretty much impossible.

The price and the features is quite impressive, but the lack of a real keypad is a big problem. Its nearly impossible to type on a touchscreen without looking at it.

Motorola have linux source code for their mobile phones a1200, a780, rokr etc at opensource.motorola.com.
imho an oxymoron of a solution.

Hello ,
You cannot flash mobiles like Nokia 6600 as a user. You have to go to Nokia service center and get it flashed! Only for some high end mobiles, Nokia is releasing the firmware update software, using which we can update the phone firmware!
