Keyboard in, /dev/ttyS1 out

Nov 03, 2003 0 Replies

Hi, got a wicket problem to solve, and right now I'm stuck.

I'm working on a ppc board that's developed on site. On that cpu board we have a fpga thats attaced to the pci bus.

On that fpga we're also implemented code that make it behave like a 8042 keyboard interface chip.

Now, since this is an embedded system, we have the console on /dev/ttyS0. What we want is to have the keyboard redirected to /dev/ttyS1. In this way we can use keyboard as input, the /dev/ttyS1 as output, and still log in on /dev/ttyS0.

If someone could help me with this one I would be very thankful.

Espen
