I recently picked up a couple of Sony HI-Fi VHS VCRs at Goodwill for a few bucks each, one is a model SLV-620HF, the other an SLV-690HF.
Both are 4-head units with similar controls, and both seem to work OK. The 620HF is the larger of the two (older?) and has a backlit LCD display panel. The more compact 690HF has an LED panel, is much more compact, and has a rapid rewind feature.
I'll only be keeping one of these, is there any reason to prefer one over the other in terms of reliability or performance? (I did some web searches and did not come up with much.) Thanks for any input on this!
