hi! i have a problem with my monitor. NTC Model #: KY-718. It has excessive width and 1 side pincushioning problem. I cannot find a schematic on this monitor. So i cannot able to locate the pincushion circuit. but i check many parts in the horiz area but it seems that everything i checked was good. Any ideas regarding this topic will be greatly appreciated.

Since monitors are now a throw-away commodity, it may be time for you to invest in a new monitor or flat panel display.

Get an ESR meter, and test all the capacitors starting in the horizontal output area, pin amp area, high voltage generator area, and then the power supply. I am sure that you will find many caps that are out of specs, considering the age and type of monitor you have.

If you send the monitor for service, the large part of the cost will be for the labour.

If you are not trained, and used to working in TV and monitor service, I would strongly suggest to send the monitor out to be serviced, or simply replace it.

There are very serious safety issues when servicing moniotors.
