For edu., I am doing some test with DRAM access with xilinx starter kit (3E/3A). I use xilinx mig 1.7 tool and I found some reference design in E. Crabill s3ak_test
But it is a little bit too hard for beginners like me and I wonder if someone could post a simplistic implementation of memory access (DDR with spartan 3E and/or DDR2 with spartan 3A starter kit) .
I am looking for something like a picoblaze soft proc accessing the DDR/DDR2, writing some data then reading back for control ...
