ByteBlasterII

Has anyone used a non altera byteblasterII scheme for loading serial configuration device (EPSC1 or EPCS4)? I found two reference on the net but I couldn't implement then yet, I don't know if they work.

All your www ref. descibe ByteBlasterMV and not ByteBlasterII. ByteBlasterII is an active POD, ByteBlasterMV is passive !

It will be very expensive to think to do your own ByteBlasterII !

Hi Ivan, They both work but not perfect but you will get your EPCS1/4 programmed at least. The japanese page shows how you can rebuild your old byteblasterMV into a BB2. The only thing you don't get is 1.5V operation (one of the reasons for upgrading to BB2). Depending on how many systems you need to build a simpler way to do this is to use a Nios system and download the Flash image trough the serial interface (comming with the SOPC builder), the you can rip the ByteblasterMV schematic straight of the datasheet.
