Would like some help in repairing my Weller EC1002 soldering station.It will run the EC1302A iron but not the EC1201a iron.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If the temp sensor goes open, you get a reading of 959 F or something wild like that, and no heat. The sensor is pretty expensive. If your iron has 2 gold pins in the connector, measure between them with an ohmmeter. If it reads infinity, you need a new sensor. You can compare the two irons.
