Q on Tek TM5xy modular mainframes

  1. What's the fundamental difference between the TM50x mainframes and the TM500x?

  1. Plugins in the XY50x series will fit (and work in) either mainframe. Will XY500x plugins work in TM50x mainframes?

Thanks Norm

TM500x accept both TM50x and TM500x plugins. TM50x do only accept TM50x plugins.

That is also the reply for the second question :))

IIRC, the TM500x-series modules usually include an IEEE488 (GPIB) interface.

TM5000 modules can also draw more power from a single slot than what a TM500 slot can deliver.
