The wife is getting a job that will not allow her to let the chahuahua out at noon. Is there a schematic that I can use to make an RF auto open/close dog door?

I have a nice dog door for my small dog. It has flaps on both sides, which appears to discourage nocturnal intruders, and a plastic safety cover just in case you don't trust it. It installs through a typical exterior wall, and took me about 2 hours to put in (a friend had a nice stucco saw).

Garage door opener on an ordinary mains voltage timer.
Or electric door lock on mains voltage timer.

This one uses infra-red. The collar device has a specific code to open the door.
