Hi, all, Another one that's probably covered somewhere in the docs, but that I can't find there, and a bit of googling has come up with zilch. I'm trying to get ISE 14.6 to assign CPLD pins in some vaguely rational way, e.g. not scattering wires in the same bus all over the place. I ran the Lock Pins utility, which generated a UCF file with the right syntax. I then edited the pin placements to suit, and recompiled. The pins were different from before, but still nothing like mine, and no errors or warnings generated. The floor plan generator doesn't seem to work properly, at least with this device. Double clicking on "Floorplan IO - Pre-Synthesis" brings up a dialogue box that asks to make a new UCF file, but after getting permission, the floor plan editor never comes up. (OS is 64-bit Linux, CentOS 6.5, which is one they claim to support.) Any wisdom? If this doesn't sound normal, I'll take it up with Xilinx, but hopefully somebody round here can help, because I'm up to my eyeballs in work at the moment. but it doesn't say that the normal part numbers are being discontinued, just the specials. Anway the LTB date was last December, and the parts are still in plentiful stock at the distributors.

I can't find my notice right off but sent an email to Avnet which is where I heard about it so I can get it again.

I do remember that this EOL info could not be easily found on the web. Maybe it wasn't on the web ? Anyhow, I'll report back, hopefully within a day or two at the most.

Sure would be nice if it was just a nightmare ! Don't think so, though.

Still waiting on that document again from Avnet but one other document we found was this in an old email... From 2010...

Which has the XC9536XV PC44 listed but not the XC9536XL VQ44. I coudl swear the EOL info I'm talking about is newer than

2010.

I know we got the info for the XC9536XL VQ44 so I just have to get that again to confirm which I'll post as soon as they get back to me.
