I think you have to be more specific as to what you're measuring.
Lumens/Watt is the efficiency measure.
Lumens is an integrated-over-solid-angle brightness measure.
microCandela or milliCandela is the measurement for spot brightness (this can be enhanced by optics producing a narrower beam).
Typical hobbyist definition of LED brightness is microCandela but this is not what the overall lighting industry uses, they will be looking at Lumens.
OSRAM had a press release this past summer announcing they had in the lab some 136 Lumens/Watt dies.

Osram look good. I've just got samples of Golden Dragons whitch are
130 lumens at 350mA and 3.2V. You can push the leds up to 1A if you can get the heat out. However even at 350mA you are past the peak in efficiency.I chose Osram because they had the best life data otherwise Lumileds looked good. Cree had poor data for life, but that may just have been out of date.
Lambertian pattern or something more useful?

Their "Technology" page is annoying. It tells you it's great, it's long-lasting, it emits into the air, it's used in projectors, it reduces weight and has no mercury, but without ever saying what it is.
So, for all concerned, their CBT-90 is a 50 watt, 3x3mm phosphor-coated blue LED on a copper board, outputting up to 1,700 lumens, or about 34 lumens / watt. 13.5 amps @
3.8Vf.That's my read, YMMV.

I do not think they aer intelligent YET.
That is also a lot of lumens per watt.
Luxeon Rebels manage almost triple that.
