Except that out here there's often a steep and rocky drop of 100ft or so, not so good if the ladder slips and you take a tumble. I have never seen anyone out here climb a ladder for that job. If they need to get to a drop there's the steps on the pole, so nothing is needed other than maybe the back of the truck in order to reach the first step. Plus fall gear, I've got one of those double-latched belts here. For work on a booster amp and such they use bucket trucks.
