To "unburn" paper implies that after the unburning was done the original piece of paper would be the product of the unburning, complete with the same physical characteristics it had before it was burned. Impossible, I think, with our current technology. Same like uncooking an egg; how would you do it without going back in time and preventing it in the first place? JF

Of course. But all the constituants are still there. Paper is made from wood/trees. Trees make wood from CO2, Water, plus a few traces, plus energy (sunlight). The chemical reection is reversed! Just we can't do it with our technology. But trees can with their technology. All chemical reactions can be reversed. Just some are easier than others.

How to "uncook" an egg? That's an easy one. You feed it to a hen. The hen has the technology. :-) I can see you're a city boy.
