Presumably John Larkin thinks that all software engineers are autistic which would be for much the same reason that Phil Allison thinks that almost everybody is autistic.

The software engineers that I have dealt with over the years weren't in the least autistic, but John Larkin's hiring practices may be as odd as his perceptions.
