Source for loud speakers

A while back someone posted a url for a company that sells loud speakers in a topic that was not directly related to loud speakers. I should have boo kmarked the page as I can not find it now. I would appreciate it if someon e would post a link.

I am not looking for speakers in enclosures. Just looking for some reasona bly good speakers at modest prices. I scrounged some Signal Transformer (

24 vct 30 va ) and thought I would try to get some of the grandkids to bu ild amplifier kits and speaker enclosures.

Great idea! If you get a copy of Daqarta that exercises the soundcard [I think it even produces pink noise for establishing the frequency characteristics of the speakers], you'll give them an additional tool to gain understanding of the 'enclosure' effects, plus, very cheap, free trial.

Bob Masta also just released his new version that has a built in LCR Meter function.

Madisound is good folks... I bought the drivers for my own homebrew speaker system from them back in '95 and am still extremely satisfied with what I got and how the speakers turned out. They carry many brands of excellent drivers, and in many cases they have enclosure plans and crossover schematics for these drivers available for free download.

Try Parts-Express, they have L-Pads and drivers. I'm sure there is some off the shelf stuff too. They seem to be like MCM was at one point in time.

The places mentioned are all good sources, but not the one I am looking for . I may be hallucinating but the place I am looking for had many manufact ures and had Thiel and Small parameters for most of the speakers.

All of the ones listed list the TS parameters. Is that all you need?

Parts Express may be the site I was thinking of. And maybe not. I remember the site as being only speaker components, but it was a while back. And I did not search the entire site at the time.

MCM lists the TS parameters for most but not all of the speakers that they sell.
