I think that, because of the diode drops and the Vth of the MOSFETs, it won't switch at the zero crossing. That means that the load will see a distorted waveform, and if the load or driving circuitry is at all inductive there will be nasty switching spikes.

Any forseeable or otherwise problems with this circuit. Switches on and off with combinations of A and B. View with courier or similar.

You may be better served using a (4 quadrant) triac; a gate drive positive relative to the cathode will turn it on with no regard to load polarity, and logic levels (thru a current limiting resistor) can be used for driving (turn-on).
