Potentiometer Elements

Rumor has it you voted for them both at the same time. At the very least, it makes you akin to a labor lobbyist.

I grew up in a blue collar union family. Naturally, I was obligated to switch sides, just to be contrary. Boy do I miss those days in my later years.

As I said, I'm a Centrist, of sorts. I like good ideas from both sides of the political spectrum.

Anyone read Alvin Tofler's "Future Shock" back when it first came out? He was dead on as to how things would be and our generation would be the one to take the change to a one world government the hardest. He was way ahead of his time.

I'm through with politics on the RC group for now.

I remember them quite fondly. The durability was not quite up to spec sometimes.

My mind keeps kicking in Ohmite (IRC?) for another good brand from the olden days.

Clarostat, Bournes, Ohmite... Some of the old ones were massive and works of art. How did these outfits survive into the digital age? Now even the trimmers on the back of CRT's and TV's have gone away with the big tube. What's left for potentiometers, some volume controls? Even in that application they're getting rare. Even some of the rotary knob volume controls are digital detent encoders.
