Our Congressman canceled townhall meeting

Our congressman canceled a townhall meeting one day after having people wait in line to get the 500 tickets available.

The town showed up anyway and let be known we are not happy!

I thought these so called "Congressman" were supposed to represent the majority (the people).

Looks more like they want to do what's only good for them. ( In this case duck and hide)

Cheers

"Congressman Boyd, when are you going to read the constitution and comprehend it?" a woman yelled, while waving an American flag and pointing at a suit stuffed with towels and sheets, which supported a balloon head wearing a Boyd mask.

Where was this idiot woman when Bush stole two elections and proceeded to use the constitution as toilet paper? I'd probably skip a meeting with this bunch of whack jobs too. As the great Barney Frank said, it would be like talking to the dining room table.

Oh, and I like those "keep the government out of my medicare signs."

Do these idiots know what tea bagging is?

I love watching the Republican party meltdown. Keep up the loony protests and behave like cretins.

The anti-health-care-reform campaigners put their lying rubbish into the mouths of people who "spontaneously" show up at town hall meetings, and then boast about the "democratic groundswell" of opposition.

Why should he bother to show up when nothing will be discussed due to shrieks of inane crap like "this is Maoist China" and "I don't want my flag to change"...?

If you don't like that you did not get to have a productive town hall meeting, contact FreedomWorks, Tea Party Patriots, and Americans For Prosperity and tell them.

Right. So, having no valid rebuttal, you demonize your opponents.

Just watch the socialists take the whole country down the toilet.

Just watch. You'll see. But of course by that time it'll be too late to save us, just like the USSR.

Oh, I can speak on the topic of health reform just fine. But it takes an audience willing to listen, not one that brought stuff dolls and has tea bags hanging from their hats. Those people have the comprehension of a dining room table.

Because it's his job to show up and listen to the people whether he, or your fascist ass, thinks the people are 'inane'.

e!

That is not how a representative democracy works. Feel free not to vote your representative when election time comes around. Otherwise, he or she has the job until the voters say otherwise. It is not the job of your representative to listen to whack jobs with tea bags hanging off their hats while shouting "inartfully worded" slogans.

You want a discussion, shut down the astroturf movement. Keep up the BS, and expect the democrats just to do what they want.

Yep. Astroturfers going to districts they have zero right to representation in, by design. lol

Fascist you haven't a clue who was there and neither does the coward who didn't show up.

Thanks for the example. When you have no valid rebuttal, cast insults.

Typical.

Oh, you can count on them to do what they want, now that they've got a lock on all three branches of the Federal Government.

I'll be surprised if the USA is still recognizable by 2012.

Thanks, Rich

What particular part of health care reform would you like to discuss in an intelligent, non-insulting manner?

Gee, I longer recognized the country when the Cheney/Bush administration started spying on citizens, tapping phones, reading email , shoving chemical glow sticks up the asses of random losers picked up in foreign countries, etc. Where the hell have you been that last 8 years?
