he should sue Biden

Cursitor Doom always believes what Breitbart, ZeroHedge and Russia Today tell him. They are so much more reliable than the main stream media at getting things wrong in a way that appeals to Cursitor Doom.

What's left of the "Independent" - which was never all that impressive - doesn't seem to have done well, but it isn't exactly main-stream media any longer.

"The newspaper was controlled by Tony O'Reilly's Irish Independent News & Media from 1997 until it was sold to the Russian oligarch and former KGB Officer Alexander Lebedev in 2010. In 2017, a Saudi Arabian investor bought a 30% stake in it."

Next thing, the BBC will pick up on this story and report it as "Rittenhouse shot three black men in the back." The Left Wing media. No wonder there's so much hate and division around these days - and they're the prime movers behind it.

Biden's lawyers would simply state that since Biden suffers from advanced dementia, he cannot be held accountable for his words or actions.

I hadn't even read that far into the article, Dave. Why don't you tell us what Rittenhouse's history is? I admit I'm not aware of any so do tell us. Give us the benefit of your superior intellect (I won't be holding my breath). --

"In one word, you reproach us with intending to do away with your property. Precisely so; that is just what we intend."

Trump has cornered the US market for lying lawyers, and has got several of them sent to prison. Biden is unlikely to be able to get hold of lawyers who would channel that particular Donald Trump fantasy. Cursitor Doom won't even recognise it as a fantasy, but he has been deluded here before.

He's 17. He won't have much history and the law does protect minors from their own incompetence.

And Cursitor Doom has a funny idea of what might constitute a "superior intellect" - it has to share his silly ideas, which does require exceptional gullibility, an intellectual capacity where Cursitor Doom is unsurpassed - though John Larkin does come close.

I'm waiting for Mr. Plowman to inform us of this individual's antecedence. Mr. Plowman gave us to understand that Rittenhouse had engaged in some illicit/unlawful activity and I'd like to know what exactly his accusation amounts to. <deafening silence>

That's shameful sloppy reporting by the Independent.

Surely the issue is he did not shoot 3 'black men' because inconveniently for the Independant the 3 men were white!

There are few primary news sources, ones near the actual event. Most reporters get their news from other reporters. So as a story is filtered through, say, 10 prejudiced levels, it drifts.

That suggests that the longer the time delay from event to report, the more distortion is likely. Roughly 12 hours per filtering step?

His legal team would have to show that being called a "white supremacist" somehow materially damaged him more than it materially helped him, being a white supremacist is not a crime, you have to prove material damages.

Far as I can tell it only made him money...

Some second and third-rate local US city papers like the Worcester Telegram-Gazette have more in-the-field journalists on staff than some internet/cable news outlets.

25 years ago it was different but they mostly realized that news aggregation "worked" well enough and it was 14 hours a day of talking-heads giving opinions that readers and viewers really wanted to see, not actual news coverage. 14 hours a day of opinion pieces is a lot cheaper than maintaining foreign news bureaus, too.

** Utter nonsense.

** No when you maliciously slander someone about to face a criminal trail.

That warrants punitive damages.

Sloman would have loved the lying Prosecutor who claimed the young man had an illegal weapon, and who withheld critical evidence showing that the three idiots assaulted an armed man. One tried to disarm him, and was shot. A second then did the same. The third pulled a pistol on him, and was shot in the leg. A forth man had chased him prior to this, and he fell. That man not only delayed him from getting clear of the situation, but he kicked the young man in the head while he was on the ground. This case wasn't about convicting him for fake crimes, it was another blatant attempt to disarm citizens.

** No lie - simply mistaken about the precise law.

and who withheld critical evidence showing that the three idiots assaulted an armed man.

** Huh ?

One tried to disarm him,

** Wrong, the first lunatic clearly wanted to murder him. Earlier on, he made several death threats and harassed Kyle till he ran off.

A second then did the same.

** Wrong, the others all acted on a false claim that Kyle was an "active shooter" and to "get him".
** Wrong - he was shot in the upper arm.
** Yes, the " unknown attacker" that the police knew very well all along. He refused to testify without being given immunity. So they made him anonymous.
** Nope. The trial was 100% political, to back up the MSM's fake story that Kyle was a murderer. The purpose of which was to justify allowing a fake protest to become rioting without interference from police.

How many defamation cases did Greta Thunberg win against any of the creepy 9,000 year old Americans who called her every name under the sun, much less 9,000 year old American presidents.

The terms aren't well-defined. Who knows how it works in Australia but your feelings don't matter in the USA. Go and throw a few shrimp on ya Nazi barbie and don't fret it.

The BBC manages to somehow do both! It's amazing what you can do with limitless cash extorted from the public under the threat of imprisonment, it seems.
