One of your recurrent themes is how bad white people are.

Strange.

It wasn't black Americans who forced relocated the Native Americans. Or who were major participants in the Revolutionary War. Or the Civil War. Or World War I. Or World War II. Or who made up the majority of the people who made Rittenhouse fear for his life.

"bad" is a very poorly-defined term, but large numbers of armed and pissed-off people of European descent do seem potentially kinda hazardous to your health sometimes, y'know?

Interesting historical aside is the history of the Radical Republicans in the reconstruction South. They were anti-segregationists who were opposed to the Jim Crow-plans of the southern Democrats. Now even a segregationist southern Democrat knew at some level also that a black person was not responsible for how he was born, and were often merciful to blacks.

However, the Radical Republicans tended to be white men of wealth and power who were opposed to segregation, and that crime was unforgivable. These people had no people, their "race" was only "race traitor."

When they got their hands on them they showed them no mercy.

Nope, just realise that its silly to treat them any differently to the other gang bangers in court.

No it doesn’t with the murderers who killed James Bulger.

They do the crime, they do the time.

Same with the kids who get involved in the drug trade because they know that the courts will be stupid enough to treat them differently when they get caught. Stabbers too.

They were pretty good about doing it to their neighboring tribes.

Thomas Sowell has an interesting piece on youtube about slavery. Slavery was universal in human history. Africans had slaves. Native Americans had slaves. He notes that western europeans were the first cultures in known history to abolish slavery.

And contributed a few other things to human well-being.

When children get charged as adults it's also entirely plausible a jury will just let them go instead of subject a child to an adult punishment like imprisonment for life.

Jury decisions are supposed to be based on the facts and logic of the case, but in practice juries come to emotion-based rulings all the time, and when you offer them what they figure are two unjust options they sometimes tend to pick the one that helps them sleep at night, which tends not to be putting a child in prison for life, whether the court says they're "actually an adult", or not.

Do the crime = do the time is hardly guaranteed.

** So could be a 17yo psychopath who murdered his siblings ?
** No it isn't.

** Plus the members own assessment of the accused. The judge sets any penalty.

And the United States, one of the last to do so on paper. But slavery still exists to some degree everywhere, "Slavery is universal in human history" is one of those statements like "poverty is universal in human history" it's a true statement, but also doesn't say very much on its own.

Like the statement "Everyone is at least a little bit racist" which is likely true statement also, but is meaningless in isolation. Yes? And?

It often made the contributors very rich - isn't that enough?

"Psychopath" is an adult diagnosis, people who are legally children in the US can't be diagnosed with it.

Only penalty being a minor at the time of the crime gets you out of if charged as an adult in the US is (depending on state) the death penalty, putting people to death who were under 18 at the time was ruled unconstitutional in 2005.

Anything else is on the table, judges have been known to give a 17 y/o convicted of manslaughter a fine and probation:

Or maybe they sentence the 17 y/o to 25 to life, who knows. Judges here rarely tend to be so lenient, though, and if you're black you're really f***ed.

Oh my bad, that particular sentence was determined by the jury, Texas is one of those states that gives the accused the option of jury sentencing in non-capital cases also.

Cant think of any example of that happening in practice. Essentially because it’s the most outrageous crimes like with James Bulger where children do get charged as adults.

Have fun listing specific examples of where that has happened with children charged as adults with gang bangers or murderers like with James Bulger.

It never is with any jury trial.

"The Buffalo Soldiers would serve in the United States military for the next fifty years, primarily in the Indian Wars of the 1890s, for which thirteen enlisted men and six officers received the Medal of Honor."

I would hardly call that minor.

That's because you don't know what words mean. Your link mentions that

"While the Navy was ready for this conflict, the Army had only 28,000 men in uniform. Enlistees, volunteers, and National Guard units soon added 220,000 soldiers, including 5,000 African- American men, but the only black troops who fought in the Spanish-American War were the Buffalo Soldiers."

5000 out of 220,000 is a minor part. They may have been heroic, as minority regiments tend to be - the Japanese regiments in the US army in WW2 were famously brave - but they are still a minor part of the army.

The people who made railroads, ships, electric lights and motors, telephones, refrigeration, cars, trucks, tractors, water pumps, antibiotics, vitamins, fertilizers, lumber, concrete, houses, roads, lumber, beds, chairs, glass, metals... many got rich.

That's horrible.

So you take a lot of pride in stuff other people of European descent of times past purportedly invented.

Isn't that kind of like dudes who wear a football jersey with the name of their favorite player on the back? People do that but why would I want to wear a team jersey with a name on it that has some other dude's name on it, though
