Just figure out the vector sum of G and the car's acceleration. That points down at zero Gs and starts to point more towards the back of the car as you accelerate. The balloon goes "up", lifts against the gravitational vector. As Albert said, it can't tell the difference between the gravitational and the acceleration components. Turn the car upside down and the balloon will stick to the floor.
The direction that the balloon heads for. The opposite direction from where a heavy object would fall. I suspect that Albert got out of bed correctly most mornings.
No, I thought that given a few days that even you would realize that helium balloons float "up", as opposed to air-filled balloons. I'm sure that even after explaining it, you'll still an ignorant ass.
