I heard about another "deal" yesterday... union members get a higher threshold on their fancy plans, than us ordinary folk, before taxes kick in :-( ...Jim Thompson

Post-Katrina we spent $200B on an area with roughly 1 million people, or $200K a piece. Enough to buy four houses for a family of four.

That turned out well. Not.

Now what, they need more change? Chump change?

The way I remember Katrina, it was building up in the gulf for THREE DAYS! I saw the mayor of NO at least once on TeeVee, saying, "GET OUT!" There was a string of buses waiting to transport evacuees. They all said, "Ah, it's just a hurricane. We'll just ride it out."

Silly them.

Thanks, Rich
