Noise level on this group

I read and enjoy reading this group on Google Groups, but the amountof junk posted here makes sorting through it tedious.Do I need to use a mail reader such as Thunderbird to filter thisstuff out, or is there a way to do it on Google Groups?Thanks for the advice!
