Need help, level shifting

Dec 03, 2006 4 Replies

I have a 1 volt 5hz triangle wave setting on 4vdc, I need to lower the 4vdc to 1vdc. (This is chip #1 output) I'm driving pin 7 of a XR2206, you adjust frequency by sinking between 1ua and 3ma from this pin. (This is chip #2 input) Chip #1 is driving a 4.7k resitor with a 220kohm to ground. Chip #2 Pin 7 is connected to the junction of the 4.7k and 220kohm. I want to avoid a negative supply. Thanks, Mike

And what is chip #1?

Maybe post a schematic? A link, or on ABSE?

Chip #1 is also an XR2206 pin 2 is a triangle output.

Post a schematic if you want help. I don't have time to reconstruct one from verbiage.

Thanks Jim, I found a solution which led to better one. Mike
