What country are you in? I never heard of those, but in the US we have a chain of stores called Trader Joes with lots of good stuff like 500 gram Belgian chocolate bars.

Have you tried Casa Ramos? They operate half a dozen restaurants around Sacramento. One right here up the hill in Placerville, off Missouri Flat. Their macho burritos are really good. And huge, about the size of a DSL or cable modem.
What I am sorely missing just like Terry is missing Mexican is a good Greek restaurant. In Germany we had them at every street corner. Not here. But it has to be good, where they make their own tzatziki (we do...).

There is a good one in Christchurch, but thats a pretty long walk too.
I go to a Teppanyaki restaurant in Auckland quite a bit, great food and entertainment too. My fiancee lives in Auckland, so Im up there several times a week. most of my customers are there too.
Wednesday was spent on a chicken farm in Helensville. Fascinating operation, but I smelled like chickenshit all day long :(

The local availability of good chocolate and beer depends on how far away you are from the next Trader Joe's.
All programmers should come equipped with an engraved calibration factor. 10:1 (actual/estimated time-to-complete) isn't at all unusual.

Exactly, a good faux-Irish pub (among others), good Chinese, great dim sum, good Vietnamese com/pho/bun, good Korean, okay Pakistani, very good Iranian and Lebanese, nice South Indian dosas, fairly good Indian, okay Thai, okay Greek, good Carribean, good (but a bit expensive) sushi are all within 1-2km (10-20 miles for the very best selection), but a really good SoCal-style burrito is just not available AFAIK. Just Taco Bell (barf) and some independents that are mediocre at best.

Kinda big for this app. SO-8 is kinda big, too. I need to drop +10 by about 0.65 volts, which could just be a diode, but I'd prefer it to be stiff [1]. +12 is available, so just a divider from the +10 rail into the 317 adjust pin would give me a nice steady 9.35.
I suppose I could put parts on both sides of the board.

The burrito standard I compare all other burritos to is the Chicken Burrito, with Black Beans, at Guadalajara Taqueria in Davis. A friend took me there during my senior year at UC Davis, and I was hooked ever since.
When I travelled to the Philippines, the one food I was craving was chicken burritos. While I was there, I was able to concoct apple pie, cookies, chocolate mousse cake, ice cream (just throw the ingredients together and freeze!) and simple pizza, but not burritos. No sour cream available there... :(
Chipotle's burritos come in at a distant second - but are better than nothing. ;)
Silver Dragon and Hunan (all Chinese restaurants in Davis) serve top notch General Chicken... but this one place in Elk Grove comes in pretty close too. I think it's called Panda Garden.
Sacramento has the best Chicken Pho (Vietnamese soup) ever - at Hoa Viet. (One on Bradshaw, one on Stockton Blvd.)
Sounds like we engineers should go into the restaurant business. ;)

The ratios are just the wrong side of right, and I'd need a secondary regulator anyhow, and all that would be a tad big. I really want +12 to regulated -5 at 200 mA in maybe 0.5 sq inch.
Not far, actually, now that we've moved. I'll check it out.
