I don't really want a pre-lit tree. There is a certain art in getting the light distribution correct, especially when you have some lights that blink, and some that don't. When I was in college back in the 70's, I worked at Sears as the toyman. My job was to stock the toy department, and take care of the layaways. I worked with the guy who did the tree displays, and learned a lot of the tricks of how to light those impressive trees in the stores. You wind the lights around the limbs, from inside to out, then go to the next branch, inside to out, all around the tree. then, we have a set of 'musical' lights, that blink to the music. I turn the sound off, and you get a nice, sorta-random blinking that I apply to about a third of the lights. Then, I have two strings of lights with blinker bulbs that loop around the outside of the tree. This gives you a nice, steady background, with pleasing blinking and twinkling of the lights!
