Job offer: Control Engineer in Chicago

Here are the qualifications for the position:

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years experience in processes and process controls, electrical principles and systems, electrical and pneumatic drawings, Control System Design and Components (i.e. PLC technology or HMI technology). Must have Allen Bradley experience. Must have a firm understanding of database applications such as MS SQL Server, higher-level programming language like VBA or C++. Will work closely with project managers and external clients and be comfortable with interacting with all levels of personnel. This position reports to the Director of Engineering.

Qualifications

=B7 A BS/MS in chemical, electrical, or mechanical engineering with 1-2 years of experience in Control Systems Engineering. Experience in a biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical industry a plus.

=B7 Proficiency in PLC ladder logic development required. Experience with Allen-Bradley family PLCs and SLCs desired.

=B7 Proficiency with Visual Basic, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), SQL and relational database applications including Oracle and MS SQL Server.

=B7 Experience in the application and development of HMI software, including Allen-Bradley PanelViews and Total Control Products QuickPanels is desired.

=B7 Knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Word and Access.

=B7 Must be a team role player. Multidiscipline group interaction and collaboration skills required.

=B7 Strong written and oral communication skills required.

=B7 Hands on approach during project installation and startup activities.

The salary range for the position is $50-$55,000 depending on experience. =09 =09

Is it ok to pick on job postings here? ..........anyways... Is the team all crazy and the only sane guy quit because he couldn't take it anymore....and that's the only reason there's an opening? Can that be changed to: Must tolerate crazyass team and act (role playing) like there's nothing wrong. "Multidiscipline group interaction" ....sounds like I'm doing Kung Fu or a p*rn movie. Sometimes I think HR personnel all read the same book. There was no mention of coffee and donuts during the interview..so I'm not too interested. :) D from BC
