How to detonate a pipe bomb with a cell phone?

Hi all:

Only for educational purposes I would like to know how to detonate a pipe bomb with a cell phone. Thanks in advance for any information ====================================================================== "It's not denial. If you don't have the brains to figure that out for yourself, then don't even start mixing chemicals... Oh wait. No, do mix chemicals, the earth will soon be rid of you.

Easy 1-2-3 process

  1. Iinstall an electric detonator in the pipe-bomb.
  2. Remove the cellphone battery
  3. Hold the pipebomb between your knees and press the detonator wires against the battery terminals.

If you cannot purchase an electric detonator, just make one yourself, it's easy, fun and safe. A Google search will show you how.

HTH.

You don't need a detonator just use fine steel wool. It ignites on battery contact.

This isn't a design issue, this is a basic issue and belongs in sci.electronics.basics Oddly, there is a post on the very same topic there now (and why do I suspect I'll find the very same question in other newsgroups in the hierarchy), so there was absolutely no reason for you to post it here.

Not only are you asking a stupid question (because the bomb has nothing to do with the basic concept) but you can't even make a simple decision like where the most appropriate newsgroup for the question is.

If you were making a bomb, you wouldn't need the advice of some of the other posters, because you'd blow yourself up even without their help.

I did that once, when I was a stupid 16 year old. Strangely enough, it was Friday the 13th....... most of my hands survived the explosion, but I was only a few feet away from the detonation.A bit closer and it would have blown away my abdomen.... The OP is likely to get a visit from the boys in blue very soon I would think.... Do you seriously think anyone is going to reply? What planet are you living on?

...

Those and other posts are forgeries, among a series of posts by some unknown party who apparently wishes to malign Magidin.

I imagine the forger has so many mental problems that choosing an appropriate newsgroup is not his first concern.

Set your cell phone on fire. When you've got it burning nicely, touch it to the fuse.

Buy a cell phone with a "bomb" port next to the headset jack. Be SURE and get the replacement insurance...

But be sure it's a V2.0 port. not V1.0!! The original port had a cap across it that would discharge when the bomb cable was plugged in...ouch.

Oh, almost forgot, make sure the phone has the latest B.O.O.M software (Blast Object-Oriented Module) too. Otherwise it's a really annoying download.

Don't be coy, it was "Silicon Chip", they have had at least two such articles, as has "Elektor" and IIRC ; "Nuts'nVolts"

Remember the 555 timer was used by the IRA for years, it was a huge improvement on the old clothespeg and solder stunt.

That does not imply that knowledge of these things, or the ownership of 555 timers, clothespegs and solder means evil intent.

Almost any thing or technology could be used for good or bad. The entity we need to stamp out is the bad persons.
