Get a book.

I've followed the path taken by Jim Thompson (& others) using newsproxy filters, things are a lot cleaner without the google group crap. Now to find a way to block anything from india....

I'm not seeing any problem newsgroup posters from India... just phone calls or E-mails offering to do my engineering or software development ;-)

But wouldn't filtering anything from India be as simple as looking for "From" or "Message-ID" ending as ".in" (or whatever India uses in case I guessed wrong ;-)

Yeah that'd do it, but it'd be nice to block emails all from Ranalli, Alnoor, Rajan, Rakesh, Rutajit, Hemadri, Manushri, Mohini, Balakrishna, Tejaswini and Deepankar whose posts come from all manner of domains, but then I guess he'd change his name to Bruce.........

That would be easy to do even in Agent... just use it's (limited) regular expressions.

In NewsProxy, simply "tag" all of India, but precede with a whitelist.

Once tested, then "delete on subject" with that specific tag.
