I have spent considerable effort to help those close to me to understand the workings of the fraudulent financial system so they can protect themselves, primarily by pointing out educational and enlightening perspectives from the non-mainstream media. I warned many people about the housing market going back to 2004 when the vast majority laughed in my face. I don't laugh about how wrong they were. I only hope they awaken from their stupor one day.

I do my part. And rant sometimes too. I won't take up arms, because it would be pointless. The process of the US' demise has to run its course to its ultimate collapse. There is nothing that can be done to stop it. Anyone who believes at this point that partisan politics and more aggressive statist remedies can straighten things out is only playing the part they are expected to play--the fool--continuing to fall for the oldest tricks in history.

What would you suggest doing?

Rock on Mr. CRC. But it need not collapse. Once the voters realize it doesn't work, they'll throw it off. Not before.

I watched the Deutsche Welle broadcast on the European situation--now there's a mess. Story after story of national financial strife, civil unrest, protests, states wanting out of the EU, citizens in the Netherlands being driven off (eminent domain) to make way for harbor expansion, with no apparent rights, racial discrimination, and more.

As for America, all we have to do is take our boot off its neck. We have the resources and ingenuity to thrive.

It's still a great country with a great history of freedom and independence. Diluted as that's been by this last generation of schools, it's still there. We shall not fall.

That's Greece. The government didn't collect taxes worth a damn for years and the citizens are objecting to the reinstatement of reality.

The Netherlands is crawling with politicians who like nothing better than bitching civil rights being violated, and they don't seem to have noticed the eminent domain problem, whatever it is.

Unfortunately, your ingenuity consists of trying to reinstate an economic model that Keynes demolished some seventy years ago. It is to economics what phlogiston was to chemistry and flat earth theory to astronomy. Sadly, it has an emotional appeal for well-heeled capitalists, who subsidise "academic" economists who are venal enough to claim to take it seriously. Neither phlogiston nor the flat earth had that kind of sympathetic and well-heeled fan club.

Your schools have now just about been persuaded to teach Darwinian evolution, but they still graduate students who can't tell the difference between socialism and communism - a little more dilution would seem to be in order.

If you keep on burning imported oil that you can't afford, the dollar is going to keep on falling. The consequences may be depressing.

The collapse will happen when the private sector will no longer purchase any public bonds, be they local state or federal. It will happen. I do not know if it will happen in a year or take another ten or twenty years, but it will happen. At that point the country will be at the MEGA fork in the road and I cannot predict whether we will do the right thing and make govt smaller or whether it will prompt a major Venezuela type of govt takeover.
