I don't think so. It wouldn't be very punny.
Around here the latest involuntarily recycled metal is the bronze flower urns in cemeteries. A few years back it was pieces of aluminum bridge rails.
I'm not sure, but you've come mighty close! ;-)
We see a lot of that around here. :(

LYLE LOVETT You've Been So Good Up To Now
(Lyle Lovett)
You don't have to live a life of sin You don't have to break the law And break the law again You can make just one mistake And it can take you to your grave, honey One bad move can turn your world upside down It's such a shame 'cause you've been so good up to now
Yes I saw the light fall from your eyes Yes I saw how easy it was The light it never lies And as the darkness touched your lips They tried to warn your fingertips, honey One bad move can turn your world upside down It's such a shame 'cause you've been so good up to now
When he looks at you what will he see You can hide from him, baby But you can't hide from me
You know right from right And wrong from wrong You know you can try to stop But you can't stop for long And you just don't seem to be yourself So you do it like your someone else, honey One bad move can turn your world upside down It's such a shame 'cause you've been so good up to now It's such a shame 'cause you've been so good up to now

A disabled neighbor of mine had the aluminum ramp for her scooter stolen. The scrap yard didn't ask any questions and crushed it, even though its not something that generally gets scrapped unless its badly bent. Its been over a year, waiting for the courts to find the man guilty. We had to put up a temporary used wood ramp that barely lasted long enough for her to move out.
The thief claims that he did nothing wrong, because there wasn't anybody in the house when he removed the ramp.
You don't have public flogging in Florida ?:-)

Not since the Republicans took over. :(
No but that wouldn't stop you from making a similar play on words, and Michael Terrell is no better.
Serves you right for voting for both Jeb Bush and Goerge W. Bush Jnr - both died-in-the-wool enthusiasts for global warming, which is the sort of attitutude that really peeves the weather gods (poaching on their territory).
You might think about reviving human sacrifice - nobody really believes that it works but the Bush brothers might be the right place to start testing the theory.
Flagellation is a popular sexual perversion, so the Republicans privatised it.
It rains a bit pretty much every afternoon, no?
Best regards, Spehro Pefhany
I have to say that's one perversion I've never 'got' at all but I've heard it's popular.
Mind you, a few weeks back a cheeky lass pinched my bum and I did feel a bit horny afterwards !
Graham
It did, back in the '60s, before Disney moved in. Now you can go weeks without a drop, sometimes over a month.
The "War on Weather"?
Odd that they miss all of the blue counties and go through the red ones!
No, you can't have half a pun. Recent research in high-energy humoronics has shown that the pun, formerly regarded as an elementary particle of humor, is in fact composed of three quirks.

Ahem, wouldn't want to suggest anything, but died-in-the-wool could work for me. A formal way to go.
