To make ananalogy to electronics, are you going to make major decisions thatimpact the economic health of your company based solely upon theresults of PSPICE simulations or are you going to build prototypesand make real measurements? 1) CO2 CONCENTRATIONThe measured increase in CO2 concentration is well established. TheCAUSE of the increase is not well established. The measured increaseis within the same order of magnitude as the amount of CO2civilization is putting into the atmosphere therefore theory that theCO2 increase is anthropogenic is a reasonable possibility but not a100% certainty. The CO2 concentration has varied widely well beforethe use of fossil fuels. The increase in CO2 concentration isconclusive but the cause of the increase is not conclusive.2) GLOBAL TEMPERATURE INCREASEThe measured global temperature increase we measure today is verysmall and is within the noise of normal weather variations. Thereare no conclusive measurements that can show the cause of this smalltemperature increase is due to CO2 or to sun spots or to anythingelse. Predictions that there will be dangerous climate temperatureincreases in the future are based on simulations. The simulationsassume that the temperature rise is caused by the C02 concentrationincrease and that the CO2 increase is anthropogenic. The cause of thesmall measured global temperature increase is not conclusive.3) SEA LEVEL INCREASEThe measured global sea level rise today is very small also. Thereare no conclusive measurements that can show this small increase hasanything to do with CO2 or temperature or anything else. Predictionsthat there will be dangerous increases in sea level in the future arebased...

So he would have missed "The Wire". Sad.

I haven't been to see a film in years. I guess I should - there is good stu ff around (and "Midnight in Paris" is widely held to be some of it) but is doesn't happen all that often.

Bizarre. The really good thing about moving Sydney has been the concerts at the Opera House - we heard the Amsterdam Concertgebouw Orchestra playing t here a few months ago, and will go there again to hear Anne-Sophie Mutter o n Saturday. Nijmegen had a lively music culture, but with 150,000 people di dn't offer the audience size you need to attract the best. San Francisco is bigger than Nijmegen, but full of Americans.

But only books designed to flatter his ego - like "The Bell Curve".

For me it is usually cartoons on weekends.

I see flicks when i visit family or they me. Maybe half a dozen a year.

So that is why you are so strange. I am less than maximally happy when i don't have music in my environment.

I do as well. It is part of my job, well actually evaluating it and editing it as needed to conform to various standards. That is a bit more work than just reading. That does not leave me very hungry for pleasure reading, let alone educational reading that i also like.
