Was no problem with SDT.

Not a problem with PSpice Schematics either. Only caught it when I converted a PSpice Schematic to OrCAD Crapture... saved by Charlie Edmondson's insight... Thanks, Charlie!

No problem.

The problem is so bad in ConceptHDL that they included the symbol to do that - connect two different named nets. In Capture, the only place you really need it is for power and ground nets, where you can't tolerate the name changes...

I had created my own part, NODE2NODE, in PSpice Schematics, to handle temporary ties during simulation without losing the individual names, so it was a piece-a-cake to add it into anything undergoing Crapturization ;-)

When I read this and other stuff I wonder why you and others are still using OrCad. I don't anymore.

I'm not, but I have customers who insist on documentation presented in Crapture format.

I have worse problems than that, some want Cadence Composter and some want SPE :-(

I'd probably try to convince them to have it transcribed by someone. This was done a few times in my cases since my clients use all kinds of CAD systems, one even AutoCAD (including the schematics). Adds a couple hours of my time to check the results but it sure is cheaper for the client. Beats having to pay for a complete seat plus my training.
