Amixer strangeness

Apr 22, 2014 0 Replies

I have two pi's Both Raspbian. If I run amixer on each I get a different result.

pi@raspberrypi ~ $ amixer Simple mixer control 'PCM',0 Capabilities: pvolume pvolume-joined pswitch pswitch-joined penum Playback channels: Mono Limits: Playback -10239 - 400 Mono: Playback 400 [100%] [4.00dB] [on]

pi@raspberrypi ~ $ uname -a Linux raspberrypi 3.10.25+ #622 PREEMPT Fri Jan 3 18:41:00 GMT 2014 armv6l GNU/Linux

As against

pi@raspbpi-radio:~$ amixer Simple mixer control 'Master',0 Capabilities: pvolume pswitch pswitch-joined penum Playback channels: Front Left - Front Right Limits: Playback 0 - 65536 Mono: Front Left: Playback 32783 [50%] [on] Front Right: Playback 32783 [50%] [on] Simple mixer control 'Capture',0 Capabilities: cvolume cswitch cswitch-joined penum Capture channels: Front Left - Front Right Limits: Capture 0 - 65536 Front Left: Capture 65536 [100%] [on] Front Right: Capture 65536 [100%] [on]

pi@raspbpi-radio:~$ uname -a Linux raspbpi-radio 3.6.11+ #538 PREEMPT Fri Aug 30 20:42:08 BST 2013 armv6l GNU/Linux

I suppose I must have run/installed something that changed it? mplayer?

TIA
