hi
my TV has a strange fault
sound coming out of the TV speakers will cause the picture to disrupt and switch-off at worst
I have sound coming out of the two phono to a stereo
any ideas?

Idea number 1: The speaker vibrates the receiver chassis and, because it has an intermittent connection, that produces the symptom that you have described.
Idea number 2: Thump the TV to determine if there is indeed an intermittent connection.
How old is this TV? I'd recommend looking at your warranty information.
