Model # KV-27EXR25 # on flyback is 1-439-423-41 shows NLA from Global Semi, but looks like 1-439-416-41 is a sub. Can anyone confirm? Unit starts up, HV is ok, then immediate shutdown. Repaired the horizontal connections, & replaced the STRS6301 regulator. Thanks, Dani.

When posting, you should always mention the model number. Sony makes many models that are different from each other.
In the Sony set, if the flyback is defective, it is a very wise idea to also change the horizontal output transistor as well. Also do an ESR test on all the capacitors in the horizontal scan area, including on the output side of the flyback. High ESR caps in these areas can also cause failures. If there are any non found defective components in the horizontal area after the power is re-applied, you will most likely have to replace the new parts again.
As for the flyback replacement, you will have to trust the supplier. If the set is more than about 6 years old, I would be considering a new one, rather than put money in to the one you have.
