Sony 27" T.V.

Two units same situation. KV-27EXR25, KV-27EXR15, dead, IC 651 STRS6301 shorted, checked D623 Q604, & surrounding circuitry, & 2sd1886 horizontal output shorted, repaired, solder horizontal section, checked drive cap, but comes on with high voltage just for a split second, & shuts down with about 125 volts DC out of the power supply at about 75 volts AC in with B+ at the flyback unhooked. I can't see anything gone in the power supply. Am I missing something here? Thanks, Dani.

To ad to the previous post, got the KV-27EXR15 working, now it's not quite wide enough on the right side & has bad linearity on that side from top to bottom. The horiz output gets quite hot also. I'm thinking flyback, but can't find the proper # to use. The # on IHVT is 1-439-423-21...no listing by that number at Tritronics, & the site says it's 1-439-416-21

looking it up by model #, & it's NLA, 1-439-416-61 is supposed to be the right one. I have a 1-439-416-41, but I'm unsure if I can use it. Also can't find a service manual, or data on these units, & I have lots of Sony manuals, & info. Dani.

Dani: I have found that the 2sc4927, which is the original HOT in many large CRT Sonys.... will run COOLER than most other types and replacements.... if you can't obtain that, then a 2sd1880 is a good, cool running, replacement. You will also find that the width and linearity problems will usually go away when these part numbers are used. Best Regards, Daniel Sofie Electronics Supply & Repair
