Before I tear into it... Tape loads fine, but instead of the usaual torqued/loaded motor whine as it runs the tape back and forth initially, the motor just runs 'free' for a second, then the tape ejects. Sometimes it loads OK, then will do this repeatedly. Seems to load ok 1st time afer sitting, then will do it on next load. Mode sw? Capstan slip? It plays/records tape fine if loading suceeds JR HOME PAGE:
