Sharp 13KM55

My daughter, who is away at college, has a Sharp 13KM55 TV set. She hooked it up to cable on campus and she can only get the set on the CATV position to go up to channel 36. She claims the campus offers

80+ channels. Shouldn't there be some type of menu position that offers an auto-program for this set? Both the remote and the set do not have a menu button. The CATV position is on the back of the set and is the 2nd position, the first being local. This TV was manufactured in 1985. Any input appreciated.

Nothing is wrong with the TV. In 1985 cable ready sets only went to Channel 36. Almost all cable systems only went to ch 36.

The only solution is a cable box ot buy a new set. 13' tvs are $70.00 or less.
