Need GE / Thomson Manual 27GT616

I am looking for a Thomson Consumer Electronics / GE television manual for a GE branded model 27 GT616. Unit has on the back a label that it was manufactured in 1998.

Googled and found several services which claim to have both hard copy and downloadable PDFs of many manuals for sale for a fee, but none have this particlar manual.

The following sites had no manual for this product:

Both the GE and Thomson sites are dead for su[pport, thugh GE refers to a Jasco site which has a phone number for support. Phones are unanswered as its the weekend, and will reopen Tuesday as they are closed Moday for Columbus Day in the U.

Anybody here have a source for this manual?

Thank you.

Sounds like a really good idea.

Can you tell me where one finds "SAMS Photofacts?

Thanks, thats a good suggestion.

Fortunately, right now, I am not having any apparent significant performance issues with the set.

One annoying thing with it is that it insists on defaulting to French as the menu / setup language. I have reset the menu, twice, to English. It still defaults to French when I open the menu.

I recently was given the set and it is going into a spare bedroom. AFIK, it has always been in use in the US since it was purchased new by my middle kid, and it should not be "speaking" French in the menu.

It did not come with the manual(s), but the price was certainly "right". I am probably a little anal, but I'd rather find and obtain the documentation now rather than wait until I really need it when something does go wrong. That little "glitch" in the menu language default makes me think there may be other issues lurking.

Thanks for your suggestion.
