LG 32" T.V. model # RU-32FC30, chassis # MC-022A, looks like the unit was dropped, but customer said he didn't. Only two years old. Purity is bad, like the yoke was pulled back, but convergence is dead on. Are there any CRT issues with these units. It won't even degauss externally. Thanks, Dani.

I have seen CRT's go defective in the way that the picture appears to have lost its purity set up. This has to do with the position of the shadowmask in the picture tube. I have seen on a few occasions this type of fault developed in the picture tube. Most of the time, the fault is from dropping or strongly jarring the set while moving it.

Sounds to me the shadow mask has come loose. Like you said it must have been dropped. New picture tube will be the only fix for that I fear.
