On this set the relay would start clicking as soon as you plug the power cord in. I found a bad solder connection on pin 6 of the vertical output chip which burned the board and put a crack in the chip. The original chip was an LA7832. I replaced the chip with an LA7830 but the set still clicks. I suspected a bad cap in the power supply and ESR'd all the electrolytics but found no bad ones. I have no schematic for the set and am not quite sure as to how to proceed with troubleshooting this thing. Does this problem sound like anything familiar with this model or can anyone offer some suggestions as to a procedure? Thanks very much for any assistance. Lenny Stein, Barlen Electronics
