Hi!

I've got one Philips DVD (DVD634) for fixing. The problem is a dead power supply. In that power supply, the actual broken (exploded) part is smth in PDIP-14 package, labeled TY72011P2. It seemz to me, that it is a sort of philips's self made creature, so that it is not available in the local shops near by. Is it possible to find it somewhere, or is the only one solution is to build a similar power supply from scratch? (meaning with similar characteristics)

Perhaps you could find an identical player with a different problem? You may be able to salvage a similar enough power supply out of another piece of equipment as well. There's likely more wrong than that one part.

FWIW, usbid.com suggests it is made by ON Semiconductor.

BTW, the Philips part number for TY72011AP2 is 3122 4205 0010 and the price in Australia is AU$13.05.
