Im hoping to get some component/diagnosis information here for my 28" tv which has recently stopped working...
It is a Goodmans 285NS(B)
It has been working fine for years until over the last couple of months the picture was getting discoloured intermittently but with no pattern to the occurance on the left hand side of the screen. Although this is not directly what I am looking for help with, this may help as a symptom.
I switched the TV on one morning and the sound was fine but there is no picture...
I have left the set on to see if after a while it started working again, after reading (googled for the problem) that if this was the case it would be a replacement of the Jungle IC. Since this is not the case the only other suggestion is to replace the following components.
D505 1n4148 D506 Unknown Zener C416 680pf 2KV R409 4.7k 1/4 watt R503 22k 1/4 watt
Now I can run up to the local Maplin for these (or an alternative local electronics stockists) but my only problem at this point is that I dont know what value the Zener D506 is...
Can anyone shed any light?
I have even looked round to see if there are some schematics or software available for download which would shed any light on this.
Any advise or pointers for the solution or information / schematics / software will be greatfully appreciated.
