Casio DAT Recorder DA-2

Hello!

I have a Casio DAT Recorder DA-2 on which the servo for the drum wont lock. You can hear it on the "chugging" noise the motor makes. The result is that there is no sound output and sometimes the motor just stops and i can't get the tape out.

Does anyone have a suggestion on where to look...? Is there even a service manual some where out there ?

Try cleaning the heads well. If this doesn't work forget it. Unless you have expensive alignment and torque tapes amd a lot of experience you are very unlikely to make it any better. DAT's are delicate and complicated things.
