The VeriFone P-250 Printer is a cheap and reliable device. The i/f is RS-232. At one point WalMart stocked it on the shelf. Which is the only reason I've ever been into a WalMart, just to see a P-250 for sale retail. Don't know if it is still carried. Last I knew the print engine was Sieko.
