Job Title: Senior Software Engineer - Bluetooth

Domain Description:
Bluetooth/Connectivity domain delivers software for features which utilize underlying technologies such as bluetooth, embedded cellular modem, WiFi, p hone projection - mirrorlink, iOS in the car, miracast etc. It provides the software for connectivity to the cloud and different apps on the headunit. The vertical integration model has not only the different drivers and the stacks but also the user interface within the scope of the domain.
Essential Responsibilities of a Senior Software Engineer:
Working knowledge of software development tools (debugger's, emulators, compilers, etc). Ability to read schematics and debug analog and digital hardware. Able to use oscilloscope and logic analyzer for troubleshooting. Working knowledge of software development processes. Working knowledge of embedded operating systems. Analyze customer and internal requirements and specifications and trans lates these into software designs. Analyze existing embedded software to add features, make modifications, fix bus, and/or port to different platforms. Tests software designs and code at the unit and system level to insure that all requirements are met and the highest software quality is achieved. Participates in internal and customer driven design reviews throughout program. Coordinates software development activities with software team leader. Identifies product requirement or performance issues. Works with softwa re team leader to negotiate resolution. Communicate with peers inside the group to coordinate software develop ment. This includes occasional travel for training or coordination with oth er groups. Manages small projects and technical resources, including planning, est imating and follow through. Manages large projects and technical resources, including planning, est imating, and developing requirements in compliance with the established sof tware development process. Works with the customer to further define requirements and to resolve i ssues. May direct the work of 1-2 other engineers.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in CS/EE/CE 4-6+ years of embedded software development or testing. 5+ years of C/C++ or other structured language. Experience developing and debugging software in a real-time, embedded, multiprocessor, multi-interface environment. RTOS experience for development on Infotainment, Audio or Connectivity products. Experience in developing Bluetooth or WiFi features. Working knowledge of QNX and/or Embedded Linux. Familiarity with user interface technologies such as Action Script, HTM L 5, or QT.
