I know it's not exactly what you want but...

There are lots of products around that will transmit composite video (eg leave the cable TV box where it is and just move the TV). They also send the IR handset commands back the other way so you can control the cable TV box from the remote location.

You do that and you will have the cable TV technicians all over you like flies on dog doo-doo. They go around looking for cable 'leaks', and your "raw signal" would look like one HUGE leak!

I don't believe there is an easy answer. If the cable transported only a few channels, you could run the signal into a mixer (multiplier) and transmit it to a receiver where you would block convert the signal back to the original frequencies. With 50 or more channels, you would need to use a *much* higher frequency and much more RF power in order to maintain a reasonable signal-to-noise ratio.
