Is XAPP462 up to date? I am running 6.1.03i and am getting completely different screen shots including IP(Architecture Wizard), Select Core Type, and other schematic-looking GUIs.

The DCM Wizard--now called Clock Wizard in 6.1 and later--was updated. The screen shots in XAPP462 are from ISE 5.2. An update of XAPP462 is in progress, due out later this summer.
