ChipScope for ISE 6.1

Hello

My Question: Is it also possible to watch signals which are connected directly to IOBs in chipscope ? It seems to me that they are not available in the "ChipScope Analyser". Only internal signals are available (register imputs and outputs) Is that right? Or is it a mistake of mine. Yet I couldn't manage to display signals which come directly from a IO pad.

Not directly...

ChipScope uses internal blockRAM, so it needs signals available to the chip internals. To look at signals within an IOB that are not already brought into the internals is not possible. You can, however look at buffered copies of input signals for example by placing an IBUF or IFD to bring the signal into the chip. If you really want to look at the pad itself, you'll need an external analyser.
